I started riding Harley Davidsons in 2019. My first bike was a Softail Heritage Classic. My current bike is a 2023 Road Glide. I have done several Iron Butt challenges and enjoy doing these rides with friends. My favorite ride was an 11 day, 28 state adventure. This ride included the Sonora Pass and Redwood Forest in California as well as many other incredible places. There is no better way to see the country than on a motorcycle. I became an instructor/coach to share my passion of being on two wheels with others and to help them do it safely. Although a ways out, I can’t wait to retire and tour the country with my wife.

Title Riding Academy Instructor
I have been a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor since 2005, so I’ve been working for the SDSC (South Dakota Safety Council) almost 18 years. In 2022 I was invited to participate in the Rider Academy as an instructor and I accepted.
I have been riding motorcycles since I was 15 years old, my dad was a biker, my grandfather rode a Harley from one of his friends in the 1940’s. So riding is in my blood.
I love to ride and love to teach, I currently own 3 motorcycles.

I started riding back in college. My first two wheeled experience outside of a bicycle, was a Honda Metropolitan 49cc. Shortly after I made friends with some college motorcyclists and had to upgrade. Most of my background/history is riding sport bikes.
I have been riding for 10+ years and teaching safety classes for 7 seasons now. While I will ride anything with two wheels and engine, I have reverted back to that SBK life. I currently ride a 2020 Ducati Panigale V4S.
One of my favorite memories/experiences happened in Yucca, AZ. Fiat-Chrysler has a testing facility that they share with Harley Davidson. I was a motorcycle test rider for HD where I put on thousands of miles on the Pan America, Sporters S, Low Rider ST, LiveWire, etc. It was a pretty sweet gig that very few can claim!!!
I am an educator at heart, so when the opportunity to bridge passions (motorcycle and teaching) arose, I did not even hesitate. I love working with students to watch them grow their skill set so they can start their 2 wheeled journey!
