We ride for the adventure and freedom of the open road, and part of that experience is sharing pictures of the beautiful places our motorcycles take us. here are our 10 favorite places for a photo opportunity.

  1. ROUTE 62, SOUTH AFRICA
Cape Route 62 links Cape Town to. Oudtshoorn, the Langkloof valley, and Port Elizabeth via 500 miles of vineyards, ostrich farms, small towns, and the red hills of the Klein Karoo. Not only is it one of the country's main scenic routes, but to many it's one of the world's greatest road trip destinations.
Getting There: Take the N1 from Cape Town through the Du Toitskloof mountain tunnel, and then turn off at Worcester to travel along R60 to Robertson and on to R62.
Photo Op: Ronnies Sex Shop (actually a small pub and restaurant) has become the essential photo opportunity on R62 - it's in the middle of nowhere, 16 miles outside of Barrydale, and its incongruous sign (painted by Ronnie's prankster friends onto what was originally a fruit and vegetable stand_ makes it a magnet for global visitors looking for that perfect image.

  2. GROSSGLOCKNER, AUSTRIA
Rising 8,200 feet and encompassing 36 hairpin bends, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest mountain pass in Austria. Reach the top and you're rewarded with incredible views of the Pasterze Glacier; the pyramid-shaped 12,460-foot Grossglockner mountain; and rarely seen Alpine wildlife, including marmots, ibex, and vultures.
Getting There: The Grossglockner High Alpine Road leads from Fusch in Salzburg to Heiligenblut in Carinthia. Start a Bruck in the Salzach Valley and continue through the Ferleiten toll entrance - the road is open in daylight hours from May through October.
Photo Op: The highest point, the Edelweisspitze, the best vantage point to photograph the amazing vista across the Alps, including the Grossglockner. The turn-off for Edelweisspitze is marked, and there is a free parking area by Restaurant Fuschertorl.

  3. TROLLSTIGEN, NORWAY
Trollstigen, "The Troll's Road," is a serpentine mountain road in the Rauma area of western Norway. Its narrowness, steep 10 percent incline, and series of hairpin bends attract riders looking for that ultimate evocative shot.
Getting There: Trollstigen is part of Road 63 - drive southeast from Andalsnes and look for vehicles crawling up what appears to be a vertical cliff face.
Photo Op: Theclassic photo can be taken at the 2,300-foot plateau. There's a parking lot and several viewing balconies - the best is the very last platform along the trail behind the visitor center, suspended above the sheer drop, and overlooking the bends and Stigfossen waterfall.

  4. KING'S HIGHWAY, JORDAY
Jordan's Desert Highway may be the quickest route from the capital city of Amman to the awe-inspiring desert valley of Wadi Rum, but King's Higway is by far the more scenic. This 230-mile route will take you through desolate desert scenery like nowhere else on Earth and past the iconic sandstone city of Petra.
Getting There: From Amman, take Route 335, king's highway, through the primordial landscape of the Great Rift Valley, then join the Desert Highway (Route 15) to get to Wadi Rum.
Photo Op: Wadi Rum is unbelievably photogenic - if you've seen "Lawrence of Arabia," you'll be familiar with the red sands and mass of soaring rock formations fittingly know as "The Valley of the moon." but the definitive shot is best take on King's Highway.

  5. MONUMENT VALLEY
We like big buttes, we cannot lie. Monument Valley has starred in movies such as the classic Western "Stagecoach" and 1969 cult motorcycle film "Easy Rider." The wide, desolate landscape on the Arizona-Utah boarder is interrupted by crumbling sandstone formations that rise hundreds of feet into the air and make you feel like you're riding across the surface of Mars.
Getting There: The gateway to Monument Valley is US Route 163, which runs for 64 miles northeast from Kayenta, Arizona, toward Bluff, Utah. It connects with US Route 191 about six miles southwest of Bluff. make sure your tank is full of gas, and take plenty of water and snacks.
Photo Op: The classic Monument Valley photo is taken from US Route 163, with the road extending toward a vanishing point on the horizon where it meets the mighty buttes.

  6. ARCTIC CIRCLE
At first glance, this is a simple wooden monument sign with an image of the Earth, but the true significance is that at this spot you'll officially cross into the Arctic Circle.
Getting There: The sign is located at the Arctic Circle Wayside near Milepost 115 off the Dalton Highway. Check local conditions before you leave; the road is mostly unpaved, and the nearest services are around 50 miles away at Yukon River. Don't expect to get cell phone reception either!
Photo Op: There is a pull-off at Milepost 115 where you can take your photo next to the invisible boundary. Be quick if you want the photo to be relevant - the Arctic Circle is moving north at about 50 feet per year.

  7. ROUTE 66
Route 66 was the way west for millions of Americans heading for California, made famous in songs like "Take It Easy" by the Eagles and ("Get Your Kicks On) Route 66" by Nat King Cole. Winslow, Arizona, a railroad town in Navajo County, is one of the few remaining places where you can experience the original surface of the legendary two-lane concrete Mother Road connecting Chicago and Los Angeles.
Getting There: Winslow is located about 60 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona, and 130 miles west of Gallup, New Mexico
Photo Op: On the corner of West 2nd Street and N. Kinsley Avenue is a life-size bronze statue of a man carrying an acoustic guitar and a mural depicting scenes from the Eagles song. On the road is a painted Route 66 shield ("Arizona US 66").

  8. ICEFIELDS PARKWAY, CANADA
The icefields Parkway runs through the Canadian Rockies via the very Instagrammable Jasper National Park and Banff national Park. With towering mountains, thundering waterfalls, glaciers and icefields, and the turquoise-colored Lake Louise on the way, you'll never lack for picture-perfect moments.
Getting There: The Icefields Parkway, highway 93N, runs approximately 145 miles to Jasper, starting at Lake Louise, a picturesque hamlet west of Banff. Allow at least three hours for journey, sans stops.
Photo Op: Peyto Lake, less than 30 miles from Lake Louise, is the perfect Insta shot, with the impossibly blue glacial lake surrounded by forested mountains. The best image is taken from Bow Summit, over 6,500 feet above sea level, the highest elevation of any road in Canada.

  9. "I BELIEVE IN NASHVILLE" MURAL
Nashville's street art has become an artistic (and Instagram) phenomenon since the first mural was painted to represent the city's pride and resilience after the historic Tennessee floods of 2010. The first "I Believe in Nashville" mural with its simple but striking design, painted by local artist Adrien Saporiti, has spawned multiple imitators and remains the Insta shot to go for.
Getting There: Approach on 12th Ave South - the mural is at 2702 12th Avenue, next to the Draper James clothing store.
Photo Op: Arrive early or late to make sure you get the perfect shot. There's another version at 1402 Clinton Street, but the authentic original is the one to go for.

  10. RENO ARCH
The Reno Arch is the most visible, prominent, and photogenic feature of downtown Reno, Nevada. The current illuminated version is the third iteration since 1926 (you can see the original version too, at Lake Street). The neon-lit arch features the city motto "The Biggest Little City in the World," and has been featured in many movies and video games - as well as innumerable Instagram posts.
Getting There: The Reno Arch serves as a welcome sign to the downtown entertainment corridor, spanning Virginia Street at the intersection with Commercial Row. There is metered parking along the street.
Photo Op: The best shot is after dark when all of the neon-LED arch illuminations are lit and traffic is less than in the daytime. if there is a downtown event taking place, it is likely the area will be traffic-free, allowing the opportunity for that perfect pic.
