Glacial Lakes H.O.G. Update 5/10

Hello Hogsters,

Well April Showers (or Snow) brings May flowers and hopefully warmer weather! 2022 Ride books are here and available at the dealership! If you would like a digital copy of the ride book please email Justin at justin@jlharleydavidson.com. Lots of things going on this Month with lots of reasons to ride and put miles on our Harley-Davidson’s.

It is a new month and that means it is time to turn in your miles at GLHD. Just touch base with Justin or Tommy and we will get it recorded. If you have an HD Credit card, those miles are also recorded as points so you can buy fancy things for your motorcycle thru HOG Visa Program!

p.s. Bingo Scavenger Hunt cards are also available to be picked up at GLHD.

Upcoming May Rides and Events: 

13^th – 14^th Demo Truck at JL – 50 points

14^th – Ride to JL HD Demo Truck – (Leave GLHD at 10am) 50 points. Brent Ennis will be leading the group down. (originally scheduled for May 15th)

20^th -22^nd Demo Truck at HD of Fargo – 50 points

21^st – HOG Hangout @GLHD / HOG Ride – 25 points.

25^th End of School Ride – (Leave GLHD at 6pm) 50 points. Deb Fredrickson will be leading the group ride. 

2022 Kick’n it in Cody H.O.G Rally June 22^rd – June 27^thz

Step back into the Old West this summer at the Kick’n It in Cody H.O.G. Rally! Cody is Buffalo Bill country and the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Discover some of the best riding in the West, including Chief Joseph Highway, Bighorn Mountain Loop, and of course Beartooth Pass, part of the 50 Rides, One Nation ride challenge. Step back in time at Old Trail Town, a re-created frontier village; or attend a rodeo and experience what the West is all about. Summertime in Cody promises unparalleled riding, unforgettable scenery, and unlimited fun! Let’s kick it in Cody!

Glacial Lakes H.O.G. member Brent Ennis will be leading a group out to the Rally. Here is the Schedule itinerary:

June 22^nd Starting Destination: Meet at Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson with kickstands up at 9am. Ending Destination: Gillette Wyoming. Have a block of rooms at the Travel Lodge Good thru May 12^th. To reserve your room please call 307-228-4744 block of rooms are under GL HOG. $79.49 plus tax. 

June 23^rd Leave and head into Cody Wyoming to participate in the Rally thru June 25^th. Holiday Inn 1701 Sheridan Ave Cody, WY 82414 307-587-5555 use code: ZFH, Kicking it in Cody.

June 26^th Leave from Cody Wyoming and take the scenic way home. Destination yet to be determined. ( This is optional if you need to head straight back you can). Lodging will depend on where we stop for the night, so more to come.

June 27^th Final track back home.

Once we have more on the itinerary we will keep you updated.

Brent Ennis will be leading a group from Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson leaving June 22^rd. Rally capacity is limited. Please be sure to Register as soon as possible.  

2022 Amana H.O.G Extended Ride June 3^rd thru June 5^th 

Join All three Chapters for a ride into authentic German ambiance. Experience the unique culture that has its roots in Germany and flourished in the United States. The Amana Colonies are located in Amana, Iowa. There is a wide variety of activities including shops, museums, art galleries, special events, and of course awesome food, beer and wine.

The plan is to leave as a group from J&L Harley-Davidson at 2 time slots: One at 7:00am and the other at 8:00am on Friday June 3^rd. The end destination will be at the Tru By Hilton Cedar Rapids Westdale: 3900 Westdale Pkwy SW, Cedar Rapids. IA 52404. There is a block of rooms for $157 a night. To make reservations please call 1-800-445-8667 and use unique code S10 to get group rate. Reservations must be made before 5-13-2022. There is a sign up sheet at Glacial Lakes HD or email Justin at justin@jlharleydavidson.com if you plan on going.

This is a free event no registration fee.

2022 Pierre SD Extended Ride July 22^nd thru July 24^th 

Join us as we ride to he middle of Great South Dakota for some awesome riding and hanging out. We are looking for a member to lead this ride! Please touch base with Ziggy if interested (more information to come). Please RSVP at Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson by April 30^th. Local Chapter Membership: Have You Renewed?

Remember, even though you may have renewed your National H.O.G. membership with Harley-Davidson (or if you’re a Life National member), you still have to be a local Chapter member and renew every year to participate in our activities and contests. A 2022 renewal form is attached for you to print, fill out, and get to Justin with your dues. (Notice that you can also join the J&L and Fargo Chapters and get in on all their activities for a mere $10.00 more!)

Armed Forces Day at Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson May 21^st

Join American Legion Riders and GLHD for a day of honoring Armed Forces May 21^st from 10am to 2pm at Glacial Lakes HD. Will have military/first responders themed items of display, food vendors and a lead ride by American Legion riders at 3pm. Money being raised to help support Veterans in need.
